German Car Servicing
The service light has come on, or the mileage has just ticked past the number in the handbook, and now you are weighing up a dealer quote against a garage you have never used before.
We have been servicing German cars at Monks Gate since the mid-1980s, which means the fluids, filters and torque settings for most things Audi, BMW, VW, Mercedes and Porsche have made in the last four decades are not a mystery to us. We use genuine or OE-matched parts, log everything properly, and hand the car back with a service book entry that means something.
What The Job Involves
Interval servicing, not a generic oil change
We service to the manufacturer schedule for your specific model and mileage, not a one-size-fits-all checklist. Long-life oil, fixed intervals, variable servicing systems that reset via the dash: we know which applies to which car.
Full digital and paper history
Every job is logged with parts used, torque figures, and mileage. If you are planning to sell the car, a stack of proper invoices from an independent German specialist carries real weight with a buyer who knows what they are looking at.
A proper look underneath while it is up
While the car is on the ramp we check the things that quietly fail on German cars around 60,000 to 100,000 miles: bushes, water pumps, oil-cooler seals, DPF health. If something is close to needing attention, you get told the mileage it is likely to bite, not a hard sell.
Why Have GCS Do It
- Genuine OE parts and manufacturer-spec fluids, the same as a franchise dealer would fit.
- Free courtesy car and free local collection and drop-off across Horsham, Crawley, Southwater and Lower Beeding.
- Servicing carried out within EU Block Exemption rules, so using an independent does not put a manufacturer warranty at risk.
Questions We Get Asked
Will servicing here affect my manufacturer warranty?
No. Under EU Block Exemption Regulation rules, a car under manufacturer warranty can be serviced by any suitably equipped independent garage using the correct parts and schedule, without invalidating that warranty. We work to the same schedule a dealer would.
Do you use genuine parts?
Yes, genuine or OE-matched parts from the same supply chain the manufacturer uses, not budget pattern parts. We will always tell you which if there is a choice worth having.
How much does a service cost?
It depends on the model, mileage and which service is due (minor, major, or an interim). Give us the registration and the mileage and we will quote it properly before booking, not guess over the phone.
Tell us what the car is doing and we will tell you straight.
No hard sell, no assembly swapped on a guess. Call the workshop directly or send the details online and we'll get back to you the same working day.
