Tim Chandler and Jez Parsons built their reputation on Porsche work through Carrera Performance, based at this same Monks Gate site, before GCS Engineering brought that specialism together with everyday German car servicing under one roof. Flat-six rebuilds, IMS bearing work, classic restoration and race preparation are not an afterthought here, they are where the workshop started.
What The Job Involves
Flat-six engine work, air-cooled and water-cooled
Full rebuilds, IMS bearing solutions on M96/M97 engines, and the crankshaft regrinding and engine balancing work that a routine service department will not touch.
Classic restoration
From mechanical restoration to full rebuilds, drawing on decades of Porsche and classic VW work, including fabrication for parts that no longer exist on a shelf.
Race and trackday preparation
Corner-weighted setup, fast-road or track alignment on the Hunter rig, and mechanical preparation for cars that actually get driven hard, not garaged.
