Porsche Flat-Six Restoration

A Porsche flat-six that has covered real miles eventually needs more than an oil change. This kind of job starts with the engine coming out and the case being split, then every wear surface, bearing and seal checked against tolerance rather than assumed fine because it still runs.

Where a bore has scored or a bearing is marginal, the work gets done properly: cylinder honing, crankshaft checks, and correct clearances set with plastigauge rather than guessed. This is the same engine-balancing and machine-work background the workshop has carried since the Carrera Performance years, applied to a modern rebuild.

The result is an engine put back together to run for another chapter, not a unit patched enough to pass a test drive round the block.
